This training is the real deal, far beyond anything you’ve ever tried with Facebook before.

We all know that organic reach is very limited on Facebook while posting regularly to your page is a good way to reach your current audience, you need to consider advertising to expand your reach and grow your audience.

I’m going to walk through everything you need to know to maintain a healthy advertising account and what goes into creating great ads that return real results. I’m going to teach you about Facebook’s advertising algorithm and how to find the winning formula to get the most value out of it.

In this training, I’m going to show you how you can get your music in front of people on Facebook, who show an interest in artists or bands that are similar to you. You’ll learn how to form audiences that target the right kinds of people who like the right kind of music.

In this lesson
A brief overview of Facebook Ads – In this first video, I’m going to give you a brief overview of Facebook Ads, how Facebook ads work and what our strategy is.
Our process – Cracking the code of Facebook ads.
How this training is going to work

Overview of Facebook Ads
Facebook ads – are paid posts we put in front of our target audience using the Facebook advertising platform. Because people share so much about themselves on social media, we can buy some of the most targeted advertising available, and with over 2 billion users, your audience is definitely on Facebook. We use Facebook ads to get in front of our audience.

Why we use them – we use Facebook ads to grow awareness and drive traffic to your website.
Regular posts on Facebook and Instagram are great for starting out because they are simple and free, but you’re limited to who you can reach and how many people you reach.

How we use them – there are three kinds of audiences we target with Facebook ads, cold audiences, warm audiences, and hot audiences.

Cold Audiences – We use Facebook ads to reach new people with your music and to grow your fan base. Facebook ads are a great way to gain awareness and exposure for your music by reach new people. These are cold audiences. This is the first time the people in this audience are hearing your music, Facebook is an ideal platform for reaching them.

Warm Audiences – We use Facebook ads to reach your current audience, to make sure they see your new content, and to build hype and interest. These are warm audiences, they already know about you and are interested in what you’re doing.

Hot Audiences – We use Facebook ads to reach your most engaged fans, to encourage action and to monetize them. These are hot audiences, they are your engaged fans.

We use Facebook ads to reach all three of these audiences in different ways, every time you release new music.

When to use them – You need to have a website with a landing page that contains links to your music, and a functioning email signup form before starting Facebook ads. An email sign up form is important to capture the email addresses from the traffic you generate using the ads. You can use Facebook ads to generate awareness and traffic to your website without an email sign up form, but growing an email list is the only real way to make Facebook ads work for you in the long term.

We use Facebook ads every time you release new music to promote it and get it in front of your Cold, Warm and Hot audiences.

What they look like – Just in case you don’t already know, this is what a Facebook Ad looks like, and this is what an Instagram ad looks like. Instagram is owned by Facebook so the process of creating an Instagram Ad is the same as Facebook.

Our Process
Numbers are everything – The people that fail with Facebook ads either don’t understand the numbers or they don’t pay close enough attention to them. The best Facebook advertisers don’t “feel” or “think” things, they “know” what works by looking at the numbers.

Cracking the code – With Facebook ads, we’re basically trying to crack the code. The code is made up of many variables. There’s the audience, the headlines, and copy, the images or videos. We have to find the right combination of all these things to make them work. We need to find the right audience, grab their attention and interest them enough to get them to click on the ad to your landing page. When you get all the variables right, the stars align and you will get the results.

The Process – I’m going to show you a process to crack the code. It’s a challenge to get everything right but there is a process to do it. After we set up the ads, we need to let them run for a week without touching them or changing anything. We do that to allow Facebook’s algorithm to optimize, we can then review the numbers, make some observations and begin cracking the code.

Culling & Scaling – Based on the observations, we will cull the underperforming ads and scale the winning ads. You’ll learn from what works and eventually when you get experienced, you will develop theories around what gets the best results. I’m going to share my experience with you so you can cut your process by 5 years, maybe even 10.
